The patio is a hub of activity, particularly during the warmer months. Large or multi-tiered patios present the opportunity to divide the patio into zones for different activities.
There is no rule stating your patio must be right up against the back of your house. Sometimes right out the backdoor isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing part of your outdoor living space. Maybe it’s out in the yard a bit, on the side of your house, or even out front.
