Add a Little Privacy to Your Patio or Deck
If your outdoor area lacks privacy, there are many things you can do to create a more private space that you will enjoy. Of course, planting trees and bushes will help to block the view, but that takes time. For a quicker fix, here are a few ideas.
An open patio or deck becomes a special retreat immediately with the addition of a canopy or gazebo cover which you can purchase. These often come with sheer curtains that can be opened or closed.
Another idea is to hang a bamboo screen on one or more sides of your outdoor space to provide additional privacy. If you have a porch or a covered deck, this is easily accomplished. If the area is open, a simple frame can be built to hang the bamboo panel from. You can also accomplish the same effect with outdoor curtains. You will need two posts and a rod from which to hang the curtains.
