Outdoor Safety Around Your Pool
If you have a pool, you know there are certain things you need to do to make sure your pool is safely protected from little ones falling in unattended. You must have a fence around your pool for the utmost safety.
Even if your own children are older and know how to swim, what about kids in the neighborhood who might be tempted to sneak in for a quick swim when no one’s home? An unfenced pool is an accident waiting to happen.
No matter what type of pool you own – built-in or above ground, put up a fence that completely surrounds your pool area. Your fence should be 5 or 6 feet high with a latch that can be locked. If the latch itself can’t be locked, add a padlock and don’t hide the key close by.
