Create Your Own Patio with DIY Patio Pavers, Part II
Start laying the pavers in the designated space. We can choose any pattern we like while laying the pavers. The only thing we have to make sure is to keep them tight together. The interlocking paver tiles come in handy here. They sit snuggly and tight in their place when laid.
When all the tiles are in place, spread some more sand on top of the pavers so that the sand fills the gaps. These types of DIY pavers are much easier to use than pouring concrete in between to create the pavers. They are not only attractive but the water also drains off easily.
The gaps between the paver tiles can be filled with a polymer based sand because it prevents the cracking of the tiles. Just spread the sand on top of the pavers and sweep it with a broom. To keep it in place, water the surface with a sprayer at least three times in an hour. Let it dry out and the patio is ready for use.
